Manufacturing Classes Offered

NIAR (National Institute for Aviation Research) has some advanced manufacturing classes coming up in February and March.  If you are interested in attending, register at the link below each class description.

Automated Fiber Placement Programming Class

Learn to program AFP parts using the VERICUT Composites Programming (VCP) software. This 3rd party software can be used to program a wide variety of AFP machines. This 5-day hands-on class will teach you what material specifications are needed, how to import models, how to generate courses and plys, link them all together, and then post process them for the AFP machine. You will also learn how to export those models and programs out of VCP and into VCS (VERICUT Composites Simulation) to run the programs through a simulation to make sure the parts are laid up correctly, find and correct machine over-travels and possible machine collisions. Bring a sample part for day 5 so that you can apply your new knowledge against a part of your own and get assistance from our instructors.
