Wichita Manufacturers Association Scholarships

Available to Future Manufacturers

Wichita, KS – The Wichita Manufacturer’s Association (WMA) seeks fall 2024 academic year applicants for its scholarship program. Interested students can find details and fill out applications by 2/20/2024 at

WMA serves its membership by supporting the manufacturing industry in South Central Kansas.  Recruitment and retention of qualified employees at all levels is a major challenge throughout that industry.  In response to that challenge, WMA created a scholarship program to encourage students to seek careers in manufacturing right here at home.

The program has grown from just one scholarship in 1993 to over twenty each year since 2016. Twenty-two deserving applicants were awarded $25,500 in scholarships in 2023!  The awards helped students from Wichita and across the state to attend classes at seven different technical schools, colleges, and universities in Kansas. The recipients are studying subjects from Aviation Maintenance to Welding and everything in between.  Our 2023 winners are training in Aviation Maintenance Tech, Biomedical Engineering, Product Design & Manufacturing Engineering, Accounting, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, Robotics & Automation Engineering, Architectural Engineering, A&P Mechanics, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Computer Science.  Most of the recipients are also working, many of them at area manufacturers!

WMA would like to give special recognition to those organizations and individuals that sponsored eighteen named scholarships from $1,000 to $1,500 in 2023.
